About Us

Sensiva works with large health systems, long term care, private employers, private practice physicians, and public health initiatives to use technology and sound science to generate optimal health outcomes for individuals from all walks of life. Sensiva manufactures our own USA Made testing kits at our FDA Registered and ISO certified facility, develops our own assays, writes our own software, and employs our own bi-lingual client relations team all here in the USA.

Executive Team

Ben Williamson

Chief Executive Officer

Ben is a seasoned customer-centric direct to consumer executive with a proven track record in medical product development, branding, and manufacturing of durable medical equipment, OTC medication, nutraceuticals, and CPG’s.

Ben’s experience in owning health clubs drove him to develop technology based solutions to better serve health and wellness customers in the digital era. He went on to create multiple medical and ancillary service software systems to combat major inefficiencies in healthcare today. His focus and obsession with the customer experience drives Sensiva’s leadership team to execute on our core message: It’s not a sample, it’s a person.

Ben’s primary focus prior to Sensiva was the development and deployment of products, services, and custom software solutions that empower clinical leaders to fight (and prevent) infectious disease outbreaks in senior living, private practice, and beyond.

Heather Hutson, RN, IP-BC

Chief Infection Prevention Officer

Heather began her nursing career as an LPN charge nurse for Chambers Nursing Home Center, a long-term care facility in central Arkansas. After receiving her RN degree, Heather found herself back at Chambers as the Nursing Services Coordinator. Among her many responsibilities, she actively contributed to the facility’s QA program and strategically grew the census to 100% capacity. Within two years, Heather was promoted to Director of Nursing. In her new role, she oversaw the infection control program, reducing the use of unnecessarily prescribed antibiotics and lowering the facility’s infection rate by an astounding 75%. In addition to maintaining a 4–5-star rating, under her direction Chambers won many awards, including “Most Improved Quality Measure” and “Facility of The Year.”

Over the past 5 years, Heather has worked alongside public health departments to develop best practices, hosted educational webinars, presented at numerous state healthcare associations’ annual conferences, and featured on healthcare-focused podcasts. A member of NADONA, the Arkansas Nursing Home Nurses Association, and nominee for Arkansas DON of the year in 2019, Heather is a Board-Certified Infection Preventionist as well as a Dementia Well-being Specialist and CPR and First-Aid instructor.

Jacob Kurdys

VP Laboratory Services

Jacob is a highly accomplished leader in laboratory operations, recognized for his ability to combine deep technical expertise with a strategic, forward-thinking approach to business operations. His leadership is defined by a commitment to driving operational efficiency, integrating advanced technologies, and fostering innovation. Jacob’s efforts have consistently positioned the laboratory at the forefront of personalized medicine by aligning its services with broader organizational goals, while maintaining strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, and ISO standards.

Instrumental in expanding laboratory services, Jacob has introduced cutting-edge clinical, molecular, and genomic testing platforms, enhancing the lab’s capacity to meet evolving healthcare demands. His business-driven approach has not only optimized processes and resource management but also reduced operational costs, resulting in measurable performance improvements and increased service quality.

Jacob’s leadership extends to developing high-performing teams through a collaborative management style that emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement. His ability to blend technical expertise with strategic vision has made a lasting impact on the lab’s operational success and its contribution to the organization’s overall objectives, ensuring that the lab remains a leader in the ever-evolving field of laboratory science.

Donovan Blakney

VP Operations

Donovan is a proven operations executive with more than a decade of experience in managing strategic operations, RCM, global supply-chain, logistics and complex manufacturing.

Donovan focused on driving Sensiva’s vertical integration and technology initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic to include the launch of Sensiva’s FDA Registered Medical Device Facility and the successful execution of numerous domestic and international testing initiatives.

Donovan’s current focus is management of Sensiva internal and external company operations teams that acts as the bridge between our customer and our corresponding enterprise service lines.

Ed DeFrank

Legal Counsel

Ed is a registered U.S. Attorney and laboratory compliance specialist since 1993 with 27 years’ experience as a computer engineer and attorney in the high technology sector. Ed was one of the first attorneys in U.S. history to successfully write and prosecute software, e-commerce and IT business model patents for the World Wide Web in the early 1990s.

In addition to his legal expertise, Ed brings extensive medical business development, medical software development and product development experience to Sensiva Health. He has founded, operated and successfully exited several product and software companies in the medical and diagnostic field.

Past representative clients include Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard Company, IBM, Nintendo, Caltech, NASA, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Motorola, Samsung, AT&T, Applied Materials Semiconductor, UCLA, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman Aerospace, Seagate Technology and Quest Nutrition.

Todd McCoy

Chief Technology Officer

Todd brings over 35 years of experience in creating custom software and large database solutions across a wide array of industries. His primary technological passion is developing interconnected and highly autonomous components that allow for flexibility with ease, while retaining the highest levels of scalability. Continual evaluation of creative ways to utilize and enhance the latest technology is his constant focus.

As the primary architect of Sensiva’s custom software and technology solutions, Todd provides the foundational ability to quickly adapt to new opportunities and challenges, while maintaining stable and secure core application platforms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, meeting the needs of the ever-changing environment was vital to the success of the organization, as well as delivering information to the medical and clinical users of Sensiva’s software applications. This allowed for quick and accurate care for their patients. This mix of stability and adaptability continues across Sensiva’s infectious disease testing and prevention initiatives.

Todd’s experiences in working with a diverse set of clients and industries allowed him to discover his desire to not only develop high quality and innovative technological results, but also to create purposeful and meaningful solutions that genuinely improve the lives of others. The healthcare industry, with its blend of cutting-edge science and compassionate patient care, is the perfect fit for continuing to realize this goal.

Chief Financial Officer

Rush is a seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience shaping financial strategies for businesses across diverse industries. Over the past 10-years, he has specialized in diagnostic laboratory finance, managing financial operations and providing strategic leadership for a number of independent diagnostic laboratories.

At Sensiva Health, he has played a pivotal role in building and leading the finance department, implementing accrual-based financial systems, and delivering actionable insights through customized reporting, dashboards, and models.

Rush's career is distinguished by his ability to develop sophisticated financial models, manage high-performing finance departments, and implement robust reporting systems. He has crafted innovative web-based dashboards leveraging Microsoft PowerBI and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making.

Jim Silliman, M.D.

Board of Directors

Dr. Jim Silliman, M.D. is a 30+ year practicing physician and orthopedic surgeon, professor, published author, medical director, lab group CEO, and former US Olympic ski team physician.

DR. Silliman is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of The University of Louisville Medical School and a member of AOA. He was the Orthopedic Program director at UTSW Medical School and the Musculoskeletal Medical Director at the Greenville Health System.

As President of the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic, Dr Silliman also served as the Director of Research for the Steadman-Hawkins Foundation.

Dr. Silliman served as CEO of Sensiva Health from 2020-2024, previously CEO of numerous successful infectious disease laboratories across multiple states and regions.

TJ Jolly, M.D.

Board of Directors

Dr. TJ Jolly, M.D. is a physician and healthcare entrepreneur whose focus is finding business solutions to healthcare problems. Through investments in advanced healthcare research and technologies, Dr. Jolly concentrates on making medication management safer and creating customized treatment methods for those suffering with addiction.

In Greater New Orleans, Dr. Jolly has been integral to the evolution of pain management treatment. With advanced fellowship training at M.D. Anderson Center in Houston, Dr. Jolly created the first comprehensive Pain Management Center for Ochsner Clinic Foundation in 2006. He is the founder of Louisiana Pain Specialists, LLC, where he continues to serve as managing director. Having delivered more than 300 lectures on a variety of medical topics, Dr. Jolly plays an active role in educating and training pain management physicians.

Dr. Jolly continues to work with Louisiana’s leading treatment providers in pain management and addiction to create and fund new treatment options in response to the national opioid epidemic.
